October 2019 Tarot Reading

Greetings, and Happy Autumn! Are you ready to take a relaxing walk among colorful trees in the cool, crisp air? I know I am! We are also approaching Halloween, where it is believed the veil between this and other dimensions is at its thinnest, which makes it extra appropriate for a tarot reading. So let’s get to it!

The cards I pulled for October are: the King of Cups, the Two of Pentacles, and the Eight of Wands. We’ll start with the King of Cups. This card represents mastery of emotion and an emotionally stable and available person. If this card is a reflection of you, you can trust your heart at this time, as it is coming from a place of balance and wisdom which you’ve gained through disciplining your emotions to serve you, not overtake you. You have probably done a lot of work to get to this place, so congratulations! The card also could represent someone in your life, such as a friend, mentor, or family member. The king is holding out a chalice, which may mean a gift will be presented to you, and it will be something that brings you joy and satisfaction. If you are looking for a romantic partner, this card symbolizes a viable and mature person who will be open with their emotions.

The Two of Pentacles demonstrates that you are skillfully juggling multiple responsibilities regarding home, finances, and/or possessions. For those of you making a choice, such as deciding upon a job opportunity or making a move, you may be feeling the ups and downs of uncertainty. If so, get quiet and focus on what is in your best interest in the long run, and from there decide which option fits you best. 

The Eight of Wands is swift action. If things previously seemed stuck or moving slowly, now the energy will unblock any barriers, and things will start happening quickly. On the card the wands are all traveling in the same direction, reflecting unity of focus, so keeping your vision clear will yield positive results. You can see several new sprouts of leaves on the wands, which show that new growth, opportunities, and energy are abundant at this time.

To sum it up, October will be a month of stability and emotional maturity. If you’ve mastered your emotions, you will feel safe making decisions from your heart.
