June 2019 Tarot Reading

Hello, and welcome to your reading for June 2019! This month I’m using my new tarot deck, the Universal Waite Tarot, along with an oracle card from the Archangel Michael Oracle Cards deck. The cards I pulled in order are: The Empress, the Two of Swords, Sense of Humor, plus one additional tarot card to provide clarification for the Two of Swords, which is the Queen of Swords.

The Empress represents abundance, and this time of year in the northern hemisphere abundance can easily be seen by looking out your window at nature. Plants are budding and blooming, the air is warmer, and people’s spirits in general are feeling lighter. This card also appeared in May’s reading, so we will be seeing a continuation of the Empress energy in June. It’s a great time to grow things, whether it’s plants, ideas, a business, or spiritual growth. It also reminds us of how truly abundant we are, if we only take the time to recognize and acknowledge it is so.

The second card is the Two of Swords. This often refers to needing to make a decision or choice, and not knowing which path to choose. The woman holding the swords is blindfolded and feels unable to see her options clearly. Yet if she were to remove the blindfold, the reality of her situation wouldn’t be as unclear as she thinks it is. This decision may be causing you mental stress, as you ruminate on how to proceed.

The third card, Sense of Humor, reminds us that often if we take a humorous approach to life things aren’t as bad as they seem. I feel this refers to the Two of Swords - whatever situation is stressing you out, in the scheme of things it’s really not that big a deal. The indecisiveness and not knowing the outcome of the situation is causing you angst, yet worrying isn’t going to help resolve the issue. Try taking a lighthearted approach and put into perspective how important this choice really is.

I pulled a clarifier card for the Two of Swords, and it is The Queen of Swords. The Queen of Swords has mastered her mind and her thoughts. She knows what she wants and how to get it, and she doesn’t waste time with trivial matters. Her decisiveness is what makes her successful. Focus on mastering your thoughts this month - don’t let them run rogue - and this will bring you peace and clarity.

To sum up the energies for June, there is plenty of abundance to go around, for everyone. Enjoy this time, give freely to yourself and others, and express gratitude for all the blessings in your life. This is a great time to birth new projects or life. If you’re faced with a decision and are unsure how to proceed, don’t get stuck in repetitive thinking that keeps you in fear. Find the humor in the situation and approach it with a light heart. Take some quiet time to either journal, meditate, or pray about the situation. Creating this space will allow you to open up and hear what divine spirit has to say, which will give you clarity. The more you’re in touch with your higher self, the easier it will be to make choices and see your path in life.
